This spring, Touching Stories participated in a project with Well Spring Day Program in Castle Rock, Colorado. We spent seven weeks telling stories, learning about story structure and, for the final project, creating original multi-sensory kits based on the stories written by the Well Spring participants.
Here are a few of those stories...
One day, when Beth was 25, she got stuck on a zipline. She felt scared. She felt mad. She prayed and yelled for help. It got better. Someone named Green Dalton came to help her out.
Beth is so enthusiastic about story and had a hard time choosing -- she wrote several more stories in her free time at home. Beth's stories focus on her athletics and her many adventures!
Jumping Jack the Nigerian Dwarf Goat
by Annie and Jack Frost
Jack Frost is an 8 week old Nigerian Dwarf Goat. He is a very playful and active goat. He is going to be big.
Outlaw, his dad, is a master champion. His mom's name is Freckles. Jack is show quality. He loves to eat pine needles. His breed is from Africa.
Jack likes to run and jump into windows. He looks through the windows and then he scratches the glass with his hoof and runs off.
This makes me grumpy because it is a bad habit. So, I fixed it. Now I put Jack in his kennel whenever he scratches the window. He has finally learned not to scratch the window.
Anne is a natural storyteller, whose talent stems from an amazing vocabulary, and affintity for the sound of words, and an intense interest in the world around her.
Keep watching this site! Due to technical difficulties, I am not able to include more of the stories yet, or the fantastic pictures that go along with the stories, but we'll get those problems solved as soon as possible!
